It’s small and compact — just an overstuffed couch with an equally overstuffed ottoman. There are carefully folded fleece blankets that rest on several of the cushions and draped over the back of the couch and one of the arms. You can often find several cats slumbering on the couch in those very areas. Two black cats, one with a white star on the lush ruff of its throat and the other with long whiskers of which a single white whisker can be seen, are entwined, either purring or snoring (probably both). A vibrant gingery orange cat is sprawled on the back of the couch above the two voids, sleepily looking at anyone who comes to view the area.
This is where the owner chooses to sit. He doesn’t mind anyone coming to his floor to enjoy the gaming area or to utilise the kitchen if they choose. But here, in this smaller area, surrounded by a lot of unused space, he sits and strokes the occasional cat who wanders to his lap, while looking out the windows at what one realises is an eternal sunset, clouds of vibrant orange, peach, violet and red filling the far-off skies with gorgeousness.”
