Description provided by u/ReactsWithWords:
“This is the Waiting Room. Actually, two waiting rooms. To the left is an airport/train station/bus station-type waiting room. Rows of plastic moulded chairs, overhead fluorescent light, tile floor. Every once in a while someone is called through the PA system. There is a receptionist behind a desk behind a cage-like enclosure, but she’s all business. There’s a men’s room and a woman’s room in the back, and a couple of vending machines – one for snacks, one for sodas, to the side. You wonder how long some of the people here have been waiting, but you get an idea looking at one elderly man who is wearing an out-of-fashion suit with an “I Like Ike” button on it. You have no idea what they’re waiting for, but that’s none of your business.
To the right is a Specialist-type waiting room. A couple of couches, several nice easy chairs, gentle LED lights, carpeted floor, wood panelled walls. There’s a coffee table in front of one of the couches, and several side tables. On some of the tables are six-month-old editions of People magazine and the latest issues of Highlights, but these seem a bit different. For example, “Goofus puts ham in his mustard sandwich. Gallant has his mustard sandwich as is.” There’s a TV mounted in the corner playing the Tower News Network, but the volume is off and the captions are on. The PA plays smooth jazz, but as you listen you realise they’re doing easy listening covers of Dead Kennedys, Throbbing Gristle, and other punk and industrial bands. There’s a receptionist behind a desk here, too. Every once in a while someone opens the door and calls someone who’s waiting. Again, you have no idea what they’re waiting for, but you realise you don’t want to know.
Both waiting rooms have access to the Wifi network ST_Waiting1 (no password needed) or ST_Waiting2 (You have to ask the receptionist for the password; it changes daily).”
